A Philadelphia folk musician died in a tragic accident over the weekend while hiking the Appalachian Trail in Maryland. 36-year-old Jason Parish was killed on Sunday morning when high winds brought down a dead tree on top of him. Parish, an avid camper and outdoorsman, was hiking a steep and rocky part of the trail about 7 miles from Harpers Ferry, WV, with two other people. Authorities in Montgomery County have announced charges against a man who is accused of raping a woman inside a Doylestown tanning salon last month. 18-year-old Marshall Isaac Gibson of Doylestown is charged with rape, aggravated assault, terroristic threats, unlawful restraint, and related charges.
