Philadelphia Police are searching for a man and a vehicle used in a purse snatching in South Philly on Sunday afternoon. It happened at 12:30 pm on November 27th in a shopping center parking lot at 330 Oregon Ave. Police have released surveillance video of the incident. You can see the suspect waiting in his car, a late model gray Toyota Highlander SUV. He picks his target and repositions his car for the getaway. The nominations for the 59th Annual Grammy Awards were announced today. Beyonce leads everyone with 9 nominations, including Album, Song, and Record of the Year. Drake, Kanye West, and Rihanna have 8 nods a piece. Chance the Rapper has seven. Rock seems to have taken a back seat this year in the top categories, yielding to top pop, r&b, and hip hop artists. A rookie New Jersey state trooper was killed last night in the line of duty in a head-on collision on on Rt. 55 in Millville, Cumberland County. The crash happened just before 7 p.m. near milepost 22.2. 31-year-old Trooper Frankie Williams of Atlantic County was traveling northbound while responding to a call of an erratic driver. Explosions at a PECO substation in Center City caused massive amounts of fire suppressant foam to leak from the building and cover an entire block. Police received several 911 calls around 1 p.m. reporting explosions coming from inside the PECO Waverly Sub Station on the 400 block of South Juniper Street near Lombard. The mother of a 2-year-old boy whose death has been ruled a homicide has been arrested and charged in the case. 23-year-old Andrea Worrell has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child and obstructing justice. Philadelphia officials have released new information in connection with the Rittenhouse Square mail bombing last month. Police showed photos taken from surveillance footage of a person-of-interest who dropped off the explosive package. On November 22nd, 62-year-old Jim Alden opened the package in his kitchen on the 1800 block of Pine Street in Center City and triggered the explosion.
