Police say 21 people were injured when a SEPTA bus and a Pepsi truck collided along 611 in Montgomery County this afternoon. The Pepsi truck rear-ended the inbound Route 55 SEPTA bus near Old York Road and Meetinghouse Road in Cheltenham at around 3:45 p.m. The bus was headed towards Olney from the Willow Grove/Doylestown area. The trial of 21-year-old daycare worker Christina Regusters was set to begin today but was delayed until next week after two jurors dropped out and to allow the defense to go over new evidence. Regusters is accused a kidnapping a 5-year-old Philadelphia girl from her classroom and sexually assaulting her. Six people were hospitalized in a crash involving an ambulance carrying a patient this morning in East Mount Airy. It happened just after 8:30 a.m. at Chew Avenue and Washington Lane. The ambulance was approaching the intersection with its lights and siren on when a SUV pulled around a red Chevrolet and into the path of the ambulance. One person was rescued after their SUV went off the roadway and plunged into Cobbs Creek this afternoon in Southwest Philadelphia. It happened this afternoon around 3:15 pm near Cobbs Creek Parkway and Greenway Avenue. The woman driver veered off the roadway, perhaps suffering a medical emergency, and plunged into the creek below. Philadephia Police have released a photo of a suspect wanted in connection with a fatal shooting outside of a peace concert at the Dell Music Center last Wednesday night. The incident happened outside of the venue located at 33rd Street and Huntingdon Avenue in Fairmount Park in Strawberry Mansion. Philadelphia's Taney Dragons won their Opening Round game of the Little League World Series Friday afternoon 4 – 0 over the Southeast Regional team from Nashville. Each August as the Earth's annual orbit takes it through the remains of the comet Swift-Tuttle, we are treated to a dramatic show of meteors streaking through the sky called the Perseids. Named because they seem to radiate from the constellation Perseus, this meteor shower will peak tonight August 13th and through the weekend.

Two men were arrested early this morning breaking into the home of murder victim Connie McClain-Murray in Northeast Philadelphia. It happened at 2:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Murray home on the 2800 block of Tolbut Street in the Holme Circle neighborhood. A witness saw the two men trying to pry open a door and called 911.
