Philadelphia 76er star Joel Embiid was bit by a lion cub while visiting a wildlife refuge in South Africa last week. It was only a nibble, but enough to make any Sixers fan nervous. Embiid was there to participate in the NBA Africa Game representing his native Cameroon. A 7-year-old girl was a victim in an apparent murder-suicide in the Manayunk neighborhood of Philadelphia on Monday morning, 8/6. It happened on the 4500 block of Wilde Street. The girl's stepfather found her in the living room of the home with a bag over her head around 11 a.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene. A Main Line man is under arrest and accused of using Snapchat to run a marijuana operation and sell drugs to teenagers. 21-year-old Nathan Twedt of Bryn Mawr allegedly conducted the business out of his parent's home on Old Oaks Road.
