Philadelphia Police are searching for a suspect wanted in the sexual assault of a Drexel University student over the weekend. It happened on the 3400 block of Race Street about 6 a.m. this past Saturday, January 27th. An off-duty Philadelphia Police detective shot a driver this morning in South Philly who was driving erratically and appeared to be trying to run over pedestrians along Broad Street. It happened at 7:30 a.m. Monday morning. A bicycle officer reported that a black Honda was driving irregularly on Broad Street near Bigler Street and was apparently trying to hit people. A gas station attendant was shot and remains in serious condition after an attempted robbery in Northwest Philadelphia on Friday night. It happened around 10 p.m. on the 8900 block of Ridge Avenue in the Andorra neighborhood. The employee was closing for the night when he was approached by two masked men. According to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, 68-year-old Dr. James Kauffman was found dead in his cell this morning of an apparent suicide. Kauffman is charged with arranging the murder of his wife and running a pill mill out of his office. He was found in his Hudson County Correctional Center cell this morning around 9:20 a.m. He apparently used a strip of his bedsheet to kill himself while his cell mate was out at court. Police are looking for four suspects who robbed a man at gunpoint at his home in Olney on Wednesday afternoon. It happened around 3:15 p.m. on the 5400 block of North 2nd Street in Philadelphia. 44-year-old Khamphoy Detmongkhoune had just placed his child in the car when a man dressed as a postal worker walking down the street pulled a gun.
