The Philadelphia Department of Public Health announced Monday the first confirmed case of the Zika virus in a Philadelphia resident. The infection occurred in a 60-year-old woman who recently travelled the the Caribbean. She was not hospitalized and is recovering without complications. Zika is usually transmitted through mosquito bites. Not everyone gets sick, but those that do, suffer from fever, rash and joint pain and recover in about a week. The NWS has confirmed that a tornado touched down in Lancaster County during last night's severe storms and is responsible for damage to several buildings. The tornado was rated an EF2 with winds estimated at 120-125 mph. The damage covered an area 4.7 miles long and 400 yards wide. Up to 50 buildings sustained damage, including several large barns, silos, and a one room school house. Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf announced today that he is suffering from a treatable form of prostrate cancer. He said that it was detected several months ago and confirmed through tests recently. Philadelphia Police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that crashed during a drag racing incident last summer, killing three passengers and injuring another. Philadelphia Police are seeking the public's help in identifying two men caught on video in a jewelry theft on Jewelers' Row. It happened around 3 a.m. on the 700 block of Sansom Street on February 13th. Two men in dark clothing and wearing masks were able to get in through the security gate and front door of Barsky's Diamonds. They proceeded to break into several glass display cases.
