Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes Winner I'll Have Another has been scratched from tomorrow's Belmont Stakes. That will obviously end his bid to be the first Triple Crown winner in 34 years. Not since 1936 has a horse won the first two legs and skipped the third. Trainer Doug O'Neill made the decision to pull the horse and ultimately retire the colt because of swelling in his left front tendon that could lead to tendonitis. Miss Pennsylvania USA Sheena Monnin, 27, has decided to turn in her state title and crown and step down after Sunday's Miss USA competition because she says that she has evidence that it was fixed. Monnin wants to distance herself from the Miss Universe Organization, which runs Miss USA, because it does not reflect the same moral integrity she values.

Bob Welch, an early member of Fleetwood Mac from 1971 to 1974, was found dead Thursday in his apartment in Nashville. His body was discovered by his wife with a single gunshot wound to the chest and suicide note.

Jurors in the clergy abuse case against two Archdiocese of Philadelphia priests are gearing up for a long deliberation. They first entered the jury room with the case in their hands last Friday afternoon and have since sent back inquiries on legal guidance as well as additional evidence. Today they asked Judge M. Ray Bradbury, Sci-Fi Author, Dies at 91

Ray Bradbury, the author of classics such as "Fahrenheit 451," "Something Wicked this Way Comes." and "The Martian Chronicles," passed away Wednesday morning in Los Angeles at the age of 91.

Bradbury began his writing career in 1938 by writing for fanzines, becoming a full time writer in 1943. His breakthrough, "The Martian Chronicles," was published in 1950. It was about man's attempt to colonize Mars after nuclear war on Earth.

Grizzly Bear announces new Album and releases first track

Brooklyn's Grizzly Bear have announced the follow up album to 2009's breakout Veckatimest. The yet untitled release will be available September 16th. This will be the band's fourth. The first track released, called "Sleeping Ute", has a comparatively complex sound for the indie rockers to previous work.

Various religious groups filed a federal lawsuit protesting Philadelphia's ban on feeding the homeless outside in the city's public parks, on the grounds it violates the First Amendment and Pennsylvania's Religious Freedom Protection Act. The ACLU and the law firm of Kairys, Rudovsky, Messing & Feinberg, LLP filed the suit on behalf of Chosen 300 Ministries, the Welcome Church, the King’s Jubilee, and Philly Restart.
