Business owners on the Atlantic City Boardwalk protested on Friday night, 4/2, demanding more police protection after a store owner died following an attempted robbery on Thursday evening, 4/1. The robbery happened shortly after 7:30 p.m. at the City Souvenirs store on the 1500 block of the Boardwalk. A man drove a car into a barricade on the north side of the U.S. Capitol on Friday afternoon, 4/2, striking two U.S. Capitol officers, killing one. It happened just after 1 p.m. on the Senate side of the building. The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Noah Green of Indiana with ties to Virginia, rammed a blue sedan in the barricade hitting two officers. Police in Robeson County, North Carolina, have arrested a man wanted for shooting and killing a Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, woman in a road rage incident on I-95 last week. 29-year-old Dejywan R. Floyd of Lumerton, NC, is charged with first-degree murder and discharging a weapon into an occupied property in the death of 47-year-old Julie Eberly of Mannheim, Pennsylvania. Philadelphia Police have released video of two gunman opening fire on a crowd of people outside of the Golf and Social Club in Fishtown last Friday night. The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival has announced that they will be holding the music festival this fall on September 2-5. This marks the 20th year of the fest held annually in Manchester, Tennessee. Last year's event was canceled due to the pandemic. Pennsylvania officials announced on Wednesday, 3/31, that all Pennsylvanians 16+ will be eligible for the coronavirus COVID-19 vaccine by April 19. This is part of a three-week accelerated vaccine rollout. Today, all law enforcement, firefighters, grocery store, and food workers are eligible.
