Narberth Teen Louis Knight Makes It Past 'Genre' Round on American Idol Hollywood Week |

Louis Knight, a pizza delivery boy from Narberth originally from London, performed in front of the judges during Hollywood Week on American Idol on Monday night, 3/16. This week, contestants had to pick songs within their particular 'genre' to perform. 19-year-old Knight picked "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" and gave a unique take on the classic song. Judges commented that he didn't bring 'the sauce' but he made it through to next week's duets round.

The University of Pennsylvania announced that it is canceling this year's on-campus commencement scheduled for May 16 - 18th. Ceremonies will be held virtually. The university is working on plans for the online events and will announce further details in the coming weeks.

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf announced on Monday, 3/16, that he is extending the shutdown orders to the rest of the state. Only essential businesses should remain open. The order had only previously effected four counties in suburban Philadelphia and one in Pittsburgh. "This isn't a decision that I take lightly at all," Wolf said. "It's one I'm making because medical experts believe it's the only way we can prevent our hospitals from being overwhelmed."

Cheltenham Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in Glenside on Sunday night, 3/15. It happened just after 9 p.m. on the 400 block of West Glenside Avenue. The 28-year-old man was shot in the chest. He was taken to Abington Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The identity of the victim has not been released. The School District of Philadelphia announced that 30 sites will be serving two grab-and-go meals a day, breakfast and lunch. They will be open between 9 a.m. and noon each day.
