Tim Hauser, founder of internationally acclaimed recording group, Manhattan Transfer passed away suddenly on October 16, 2014. Tim Hauser was forever connected to Philadelphia via Villanova University during his college days here from 1959 to 1963. Very special friend of iRadioPhilly and Tim Hauser, Paula Iacovelli Wholey remembers the man and his career.

This is another concert where I went to see the opening act and found another band to follow. I first heard St. Paul & The Broken Bones on the radio and thought, WOW!!! 70's soul music!!! Went to the web to witness them performing... another WOW!!! Purchased the album about a moth ago then bought tickets for the concert. Edgy and energized are an understatement when it comes to describing the sold out audience before Fleetwood Mac made their blockbuster return to Philadelphia in what is known as their "classic configuration." In every respect this was a classic live event.

iradiophilly was proud to broadcast the 53rd Annual Philadelphia Folk Fest LIVE from the Old Pool Farm near Schwenksville, PA this past summer. We brought you all the music from the Main Stage Friday, Saturday, and Sunday plus more such as interviews, past performances, etc.
