A water main break caused a large sinkhole to form in King of Prussia this morning. It happened around 7 a.m. on Shaffer Road near Dekalb Pike (Route 202 northbound). A 12-inch water main broke creating the hole which swallowed parts of the street, sidewalk, and grassy area. Several street signs also disappeared as the hole filled with water. Aqua shut off the water to customers on the 100 block of Shaffer Road in between Dekalb and Kingwood.

8 people were injured when a vehicle crashed through a crowd of people at a Labor Day block party in South Philadelphia on Monday afternoon. It happened around 4 p.m. on the 1500 block of Ringgold Street in Point Breeze. The female driver went around the barricade that blocked off the street and then drove her SUV down the block. Philadelphia Police have charged a man with the murder of a Temple University student that went missing on Thursday night. 29-year-old Joshua Hupperterz is in custody and has been charged in the death of 22-year-old Jenna Burleigh. Burleigh was reported missing on Thursday. She was last seen around 2 a.m. leaving Pub Webb near 16th and Cecil B. Moore. A judge has dismissed the most serious charges against members of a Penn State fraternity in the alcohol-fueled hazing death of a pledge last school year. District Justice Allen Sinclair threw out the charges of involuntary manslaughter and felony aggravated assault. He also dropped all charges against four of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity members. A Chester police officer has been accused of sexually assaulting two woman while on duty on two separate occasions. 47-year-old officer Albert Ross is charged with two counts of official oppression, harassment, and indecent assault without the consent of others. The driver of a bus carrying over 2 dozen students and adults from Philadelphia that crashed on I-95 in Maryland this past spring is now facing charges. 59-year-old Clarence Beamer Jr. is charged with negligent driving contributing to an accident and failing to drive in a designated lane. Police in Camden County, NJ, have arrested a man wanted for slashing the tires of multiple emergency vehicles outside the Police and Municipal building in Somerdale on Sunday. 51-year-old Edward Holmes III was charged with multiple counts of criminal mischief, unlawful possession of a weapon, and related charges.
