The Philadelphia District Attorney's office has charged three teenage girls as adults in the attacks against Temple University students last Friday. 16-year-old Najee Bilaal, 15-year-old Zaria Estes, and 15-year-old Kanesha Gainey have been charged with Aggravated Assault, Conspiracy, Possession of an Instrument of a Crime, Terroristic Threats, Simple Assault and Recklessly Endangering Another Person. Philadelphia Police have arrested five high school females between the ages of 14-17 for three violent attacks on Temple University students last Friday night. The attacks happened along North 17th Street at around 6:00 pm. In one attack a 19-year-old old female Temple student was hit in the face with a brick by a 15-year-old girl. For the second consecutive year, Philadelphia will join more than 500 cities worldwide that celebrate music on Saturday, June 21st, the first day of summer and the longest day of the year. On that day, Make Music Philly will feature free music performances taking place across the city from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph Coronato says that a cigarette discarded in a stuffed chair set off the blaze last week at the Mariner's Cove Motor Inn in Point Pleasant Beach that killed 4 people and injured 8 others. The four have been identified as 45-year-old John Alberti, of Keansburg; 20-year-old Paulo Martins, of South River; 52-year-old Harold Ford, of Neptune; and 66-year-old Albert Sutton, of Mount Laurel. It's officially the end of another quarterback era in Philadelphia, Michael Vick is now a member of the New York Jets. The Jets released QB Mark Sanchez and signed Vick to a 1-year deal worth up to $5 million with the team on Friday. He'll be reunited with Marty Mornhinweg who was the Eagles offensive coordinator under Andy Reid. A fire early on Friday morning at a Jersey Shore motel has killed four people and injured eight others. The blaze broke out around 5:30 at the Mariner's Cove Motor Inn in Point Pleasant Beach. The motel was housing many people still displaced from Super Storm Sandy almost a year and a half ago. Many described waking up to a chaotic scene. Fire spread quickly through the wooden building. The site of the deadly building collapse at 22nd and Market in Center City will become a park and memorial to the victims. Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter announced that the Salvation army has donated the corner property where their thrift store once stood. On June 5th, 2013, six people died and another 13 were injured when a four story brick wall fell on the store during the demolition of the adjacent building. Philadelphia Police have used DNA evidence to identify and arrest a man for two murders committed 25 years ago. On St. Patrick's Day 1989, police were called to the scene of a possible rape and discovered the body of 19-year-old Ruby Ellis. She had been strangled and beaten. In April of 1989, police discovered another body in a burned out building. That body was identified as 33-year-old Cheryl Hanible and the cause of death again was strangulation. Two Bucks County residents are facing theft and related charges for stealing 17 bronze plaques from graves in a Bensalem cemetery and selling them for scrap. Andrew Townsend and Danielle Holmberg were caught on video removing the markers at King David Cemetery. They then sold them for scrap metal for pennies on the dollar. They were worth around $7500. Police in Newark, DE are looking for two suspects who allegedly performed a 'lewd act' in public. It happened on Saturday afternoon in the rear parking lot of the Galleria Building on East Main Street. Police say that the two suspects were seen having “sexual intercourse” in public “in plain view of numerous passers-by.” Cell phone video was posted on social networks.
