The manhunt continues for the man that ambushed two Pennsylvania State Police troopers outside the Blooming Grove barracks last Friday in the Poconos. 31-year-old Eric Frein hid outside the barracks and fired upon the troopers with a rifle, killing Cpl. Bryon Dickson and injuring Trooper Alex Douglass. Frein's 2001 Jeep Cherokee was found 2 miles away in a swamp where investigators were able to find evidence that ties him to the ambush including shell casings. Today, police say that... Philadelphia Police have released surveillance video of around 12 suspects wanted in a hate crime assault and robbery last week in Rittenhouse Square. The group is described as a dozen white males and females in their 20's and well dressed. The incident happened around 10:15 pm on September 11th on the 1600 block of Chancellor Street in Center City. There is now a $40,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction for those responsible in the shooting death of a pregnant mother and the baby she was carrying in Frankford on Sunday. 25-year-old Megan Doto was hit by a stray bullet in the face while sitting outside on the 1500 block of Adams Avenue before noon on Sunday. A large solar storm is predicted to hit the Earth on Friday potentially causing disruption to satellites, radio, and other transmissions but also causing some spectacular views of the Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis. The direction and strength of solar flare could mean the lights will be visible in some far south latitudes, including Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The lights occur when radiation from the sun interacts with charged particles in our atmosphere.

A Philadelphia jury found 21-year-old Christina Regusters guilty of all six charges today. She was convicted of kidnapping a 5-year-old girl from her kindergarden class while posing as her mother and sexually assaulting her over many hours at her home nearby. Regusters eventually let the girl go in the middle of that January 2013 night and she was found the next morning in an Upper Darby playground wearing only a t-shirt by a passerby. Actor Charlie Sheen took to Twitter today to pledge $1,000 to the waiter at PYT in Northern Liberties who was apparently stiffed on a tip on Monday by Eagle's RB LeSean McCoy. The burger joint in the Piazza is known for its unusual burger creations. Tommy Up, the restaurant's owner, posted a picture of the receipt that shows waiter Rob Knelly receiving a 20 cent tip on a more than $60 tab. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie issued a directive Monday allowing NJ casinos and racetracks to offer sports betting. Legalized sports betting at the state's casinos, especially in Atlantic City, could be a huge draw and boost to an industry that is flux. The NCAA followed recommendations Monday in the second annual report by U.S. Sen. George Mitchell which showed significant progress by Penn State university and the athletic department. They have decided to eliminate the football program's postseason ban and restore their bowl eligibility immediately. Penn State will also receive all 85 scholarships for the 2015-16 season. Police have formally identified the victim found shot to death inside a burning car early this week. Authorities responded to a the car fire on Wed September 3rd around 7:45pm on the 6100 block of N. Lawrence Street in Olney. After extinguishing the flames they discovered the body of 24-year-old Raffael Rivera, who had also been shot.
