However, today they've announced their own fairly ambitious travelling summer festival. It'll happen 4 times in four different places, yet to be determined. DMB will headline each night with various other acts throughout the days. Here's what they're saying so far:

Was BYU Brandon Davies suspended for what he did or for breaking the honor code? |
|
by: iradioal - Philadelphia, PA started: 03/04/11 9:24 am | updated: 03/04/11 9:24 am |

Many are talking about the recent suspension of BYU basketball player Brandon Davies for violating the school's honor code. Some may question the content and strictness of the code which forbids seemingly commonplace college activities such as sex or alcohol, even coffee. However, the real story could just be that Davies violated a code that every BYU student is very well aware of, having had two interviews during the admission process, one with a bishop, and having to resign the Honor Code... Kadafi, Quaddafi. Muammar, Moamar? As difficult as it is to follow the changing political landscape amid the unrest and revolution in the Arab world, it doesn't help when one man can have so many spellings to his name. But for the controversial leader of Libya, transations from Arabic to Roman letterings have led to over 112 different combinations. Here is a list:
Qaddafi, Muammar
Al-Gathafi, Muammar
al-Qadhafi, Muammar
Al Qathafi, Mu'ammar

A Central Bucks English teacher has been suspended pending investigation after a parent complained about her blog postings where she complained about her students. She used comments such as, "Frightfully dim," "Rat-like," "Seems smarter than she actually is." to describe some of her students. She also wished she could add "lazy", "sneaky" and "rude" to the canned report card comments teachers can choose from. She never named specfic students. Her blog has since been taken down.

Tonight's big winners are country crossover stars Lady Antebellum, powered by their song "Need You Now". They took home 5 little record player statues, including both Song and Record of the Year. Somehow they got to perform that song 2 years in a row on the show. Arguably, last year's performance launched them on the road to success this past year.
Other big winners include Philly's own The Roots, whose collaborative work with John Legend earned 3 awards in R&B categories. The... Read More |

Here's the new single from Lady Gaga called "Born This Way." Would you say it's a great track about individual empowerment, maybe even an homage to Madonna. Or did Gaga just throw her mentor's "Express Yourself" with a dash of "Vogue" into a blender and try to serve it up to us as today's special?
What do you think?
