Today, Jeffrey Lurie, Chairman and CEO of the Philadelphia Eagles, released Head Coach Chip Kelly.

"We appreciate all the contributions that Chip Kelly made and wish him every success going forward," said Lurie.

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf announced today that he would be using his line-item veto to reject parts of a $30.3 billion budget passed by the state legislature last week. He will sign some parts of it into law to provide emergency funding to schools, social services, and county governments who have been operating since June without a budget. Philadelphia Police are searching for a missing 12-year-old girl. Aracely Acevedo was first reported missing on Wednesday from her home on the 4200 block of Van Kirk Street. She was seen getting onto the Northbound Route 56 bus on the 2000 block of Wakeling Street. Police say she suffers from Attention Deficit Disorder and Hyperactivity. Philadelphia police have charged a homeless male prostitute in the death of a local psychiatrist in a Center City hotel over the weekend. 27-year-old Manuel Baez has been charged with the murder of 75-year-old Howard Baker. Baker was discovered lying face up and naked on the floor of a hotel room at the Rodeway Inn on Walnut Street on Monday morning. He had a belt tight around his neck. Crosby entered a guilty plea to Aggravated Manslaughter and Hindering Apprehension and will serve 31 years in state prison.
