Presdent Obama traveled to Newtown, CT tonight to address the small town of 27,000 and the nation at an interfaith vigil for the victims of Friday's tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary. Rail service for SEPTA and Amtrak has been restored after a four-alarm fire in Frankford shut down some of their lines. The fire broke Sunday morning around 6:30 on the 2200 block of Wakeling Street. "The building is a one-story property - Arco Sales Company is the name of it. It's a machine shop. It does metal working and light industrial. It was totally consumed in the fire," said Capt. Seven Big East Conference schools that don't play FBS football are leaving to create their own conference focused on basketball. The seven basketball schools leaving are: Villanova, Georgetown, St. John's, DePaul, Marquette, Seton Hall and Providence. This story is still evolving but a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, CT has left 28 people dead. Most of the victims are school children. The school principal, school psychologist, and the gunman are also dead. Another teacher was wounded and being treated at the hospital. This is one of the worst mass shootings in United States history.

Thurston Moore from Sonic Youth was in town to play with with Howlin' Rain's John Moloney at Space 1026, on Arch Street near 10th in Chinatown. While he was at the hotel bar at the Best Western on 22nd Street near Hamilton, Moore noticed his guitar missing from his luggage at around midnight Thursday. The iconic 1966 Fender Jazzmaster with serial 41927 is covered in stickers and worth around $20,000. Guitar stores and pawn shops should be on the look out for anyone trying to sell this guitar.... Paul McCartney of the Beatles filled in for the late Kurt Cobain during the 121212 Benefit Concert for Hurricane Sandy. He was joined by Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, and Pat Smear on stage for a once in a lifetime Beatles/Nirvana supergroup/reunion. They played a brand new track titled "Cut Me Some Slack."
