Pennsylvania announced on Friday, 3/13, that it received a waiver from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to allow eligible schools to serve meals to low-income students by drive-through or grab-and-go settings during the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak. The School District of Philadelphia announced on Thursday night, 3/12, that 63 schools would be closed on Friday, 3/13, due to staffing shortages. The shortages were a result of fallout from the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak.
