A black bear spotted early Friday in Horsham Township, Montgomery County was eventually euthanized by the Pennsylvania Game Commission. Several people spotted the bear around 2am behind the Wawa on Route 611 near County Line Road. The bear left the parking lot and disappeared back into the woods. When Game Commission officials caught the bear they had to euthanize the animal due to a sever injury to its back leg. They believe this is the same bear that was spotted earlier this week in... Former Philadelphia sportscaster Don Tollefson has been ordered held for trial after he waived his right to a preliminary hearing in a Bucks County court Thursday morning. He is accused of selling ticket and travel packages to individuals and groups under the guise of charity but never delivering the goods. Early this afternoon a student at the Community College of Philadelphia rushed into a classroom and pulled a gun on a classmate. The confrontation led officials to evacuate the building and lockdown nearby middle and high schools. Around 12 noon, 23-year-old Ryan Martinez Fitch entered a chemistry class and argued with one of the students. He allegedly brandish a gun which prompted everyone to leave. Police have identified the three teenagers who died yesterday when a car crashed into a New Jersey Transit Bus in Pleasantville, Atlantic County. Tevin Campbell, 18, of Absecon, Kira Strider, 14, of Pleasantville and Amber Fernandez, 16, of Pleasantville were all passengers in the car. Campbell and Strider were pronounced dead at the scene. Just as everyone heads to the shore to start the Memorial Day Weekend, disaster struck on the Garden State Parkway. At 2:30 this afternoon a construction dump truck went off the southbound Parkway's Great Egg Harbor Bridge and into the water near the Somers Point Toll Plaza in Cape May County. Severe thunderstorms pounded the area this afternoon. Frequent lighting and golf-ball sized hail stones caused widespread damage. Hail shattered car windows and windshields as well as some skylights at local malls, especially up in Berks County near Reading. Storms left the ground covered in hail 1-2” in diameter in some cases as if it snowed. There were also reports of a possible tornado in Kent County, Delaware.

The initial Budweiser Made In America Festival 2014 Philadelphia Lineup was announced today via twitter. Kanye West and Kings on Leon will headline the two nights. The festival will be held on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway over Labor Day Weekend on August 30-31. This is now the third year for the festival.
