Widener University Student Shot on Campus; Gunman at Large; Students told to stay inside |

A student has been shot on the campus of Widener University near the Schwartz Athletic Center in Chester, Delaware County. It happened at around 9 p.m in the vicinity of 18th Street and Melrose Avenue. The student was taken to Crozer Chester Medical Center for treatment but their condition is unknown at this time. The gunman is still at large. Widener University is asking students to stay indoors until 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Police have arrested and charged a second person in connection with the school shooting that took place Friday at Delaware Valley Charter High School. They say that video footage shows 18-year-old Donte Walker, a 2013 graduate, purchasing the gun from an unidentified male. Walker then entered the school building but did not pass through the metal detectors and the gun went unnoticed. A mother and son were both found dead, shot in the head, in their home in the Lawncrest section of Northeast Philadelphia this afternoon. Police were called to the scene at 3:30 pm Sunday on the 300 block of Stevens Street. A 29-year-old woman had found the two victims, a 49-year-old mother and her 22-year-old son. A second suspect in yesterday's gun shooting at Delaware Valley Charter High School is in police custody and is being charged as an adult with aggravated assault and related offenses. He has been identified by police as 17-year-old student Raisheem Rochwell. It happened yesterday shortly before 3:30 pm in the school's gymnasium. An 18-year-old female was shot in the arm. Two Students were shot Friday afternoon at a North Philadelphia high school. The incident happened at Delaware Valley Charter High School, located at 5201 Old York Rd in the Logan section at around 3:20pm. A student at the school pulled out a handgun in the gymnasium and it discharged. It is unclear if it was intentional or accidental. Comcast announced today that it plans to build a second office tower in Philadelphia. The building will be called the "Comcast Innovation and Technology Center" and will be located on Arch Street between 18th and 19th.
