An unidentified man using suction cups attempted to scale Trump Tower in midtown Manhattan, New York City, this afternoon. The man began his ascent of the 58-story building from a publically accessible sub roof garden around 4:00 pm. Children's television pioneer W. Carter Merrier, better known as Captain Noah, passed away today at the age of 90. Merbreier and his wife Patricia created and hosted the long running children's show "Captain Noah and His Magical Ark" on Channel 6 from 1967 to 1994. Philadelphia Sheriff's Department officials say that the sergeant injured in an elevator failure last week at the courthouse is paralyzed from the waist down. 48-year-old Sergeant Paul Owens remains in critical condition and is in an induced coma. A railing separating the lawn section and a concrete walkway just outside the covered pavilion collapsed on Friday night at the BBT Pavilion in Camden, NJ. It happened just after 10 pm. Rappers Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa were performing on a temporary, secondary stage right in front of the railing at the time of the collapse. Two people have been arrested in connection to a brawl caught on video last week in a Wawa in Northeast Philadelphia. 43-year-old Barbara Bayona and 20-year-old Jonathan Rodriguez, both of Ditman Street in Tacony, have been charged with riot, criminal mischief, simple assault and other offenses. An accident involving two elevators injured two people at the Philadelphia Criminal Justice Center this morning. Around 10:30 a.m., a loud 'explosion' shook the 17-story building at 13th and Filbert in Center City. The CJC was evacuated as a precaution and all court cases were postponed for the day. SEPTA announced its plans for returning cars back to service on the Regional Rail lines beginning the end of August. Starting August 21st, approximately 10 cars will be added each week. All 120 Silverline V cars should be back in service by the week of November 6th. They were taken out of service after a defect was discovered in the suspension systems. The father of a man arrested after throwing a rock at a moving Coatesville police cruiser sent a letter to the police department apologizing and praised them for their professionalism.
