The two married Philadelphia school teachers killed this weekend in North Carolina, were expecting a baby. William and Jamie Reid were married just three months ago and Jamie was pregnant with ultrasound photos in purse when the driver of the hired car taking them to the airport hit a tree. Will Reid was a math teacher for People to People charter school and Jamie taught writing and literature at Harrity Elementary.

A baseball fan died last night at the Phillies game with the Atlanta Braves. A man fell about 65 feet from the upper level to a parking area behind Turner Field, Atlanta police were called to the scene about 9 pm and transported the man to the hospital where he died of his injuries. There was no indication of foul play.

A new transit police unit starts today for SEPTA. Uniformed and plain clothes officers will move to known crime spots on busses and subways around the city to help reduce thefts and other crimes. SEPTA says crime statistics show if a crime happens today, chances are it will happen again in the same area.

Sixteen workers in Ocean County, New Jersey hold one of the winning Powerball tickets. The winning group work for Ocean County in vehicle maintenance and bought their ticket at an Acme in Little Egg Harbor. Three tickets matched the winning Powerball numbers splitting the $448 million jackpot. The Acme has been presented with a check for $30,000 for selling a winning ticket.

Former Eagle Hugh Douglas threatened to beat up his ESPN colleague Michael Smith three times and lashed out at him with racial slurs while intoxicated at a bar in Orlando, according to reports by The Big Lead. Douglas was trying to get on stage with the dj and wanted his "Numbers Never Lie" co-star to help. Jerry Sandusky writes that he is having a very challenging time in prison. TMZ has obtained letters written by the former Penn State coach from his prison cell. Sandusky says he is trying to get better, but calls his conviction a grave injustice and he will continue battling the case until the last whistle. A coast to coast bicycle tour from Boston to San Diego is underway to support those in need in El Salvador. A stop is scheduled for this Sunday in Havertown, PA at the home of Ernesto and Tonia Betancourt who will host the cyclists and a community brunch to help raise awareness and encourage donations for the effort.
