Many Jersey shore property owners are getting their first look at their homes since Hurricane Sandy. In Atlantic County, residents from Brigantine to Wildwood can gain access to the barrier islands, begin damage assessment and clean-up. Gloucester County Prosecutors have filed notice they want to try the two Clayton New Jersey teenagers as adults for the murder of 12 year old Autumn Pasquale. Her body was found in a recycling can in their yard. If approved, the teens could get 30 years to life in prison on a conviction.

Governor Christie and President Obama toured the New Jersey coastline from Atlantic City to Point Pleasant this afternoon in the President's helicopter. Flying for about an hour, the President looked down on sand blown neighborhoods, flattened homes and flooded streets. In Seaside Heights he saw that the boardwalk is gone and an amusement pier had washed into the ocean. A crippled bridge to the mainland was littered with cars. The President promised quick assistance.

Governor Christie toured the New Jersey coastline by helicopter yesterday and said he never imagined he would see such devastation. Christie was emotional thinking about how much of his life was spent at the Jersey shore. Today, President Obama visits and Christie will ask for immediate help from the Army Corps of Engineers to begin rebuilding the beaches washed away by Hurricane Sandy, leaving towns with no protection.

The photos and videos that are now circulating showing the damage caused by Hurricane Sandy are heartbreaking. Boats piled by the side of the road, houses in the middle of the road, trees inside of houses. New Jersey Governor Christie calls the devastation at the Jersey Shore "Unthinkable" and beyond anything he thought he would ever see. The loss to homes and personal property will be measured in billions of dollars.

The devastation of Hurricane Sandy is being assessed today. At the Jersey shore, homes were moved off their foundations. Several came to rest in the middle of Route 35 outside of Point Pleasant and Seaside Heights. Atlantic City took a tremendous hit, losing much of the boardwalk, which the ocean sent crashing through homes and businesses.
