New Jersey Governor Chis Christie got knocked down to the undercard for the next presidential debate. Christie fell short of the support needed in national polls to qualify. The threshold set by Fox Business Network required candidates to average at least 2.5 percent support among likely Republican voters. Wissahickon High School is the top school in Pennsylvania scoring highest in the latest School Performance Profile. The Montgomery County school is excited based on the results of standardized tests. There was a close call with a freight train in Bridgeport overnight. Montgomery County officials are investigating what caused a car to become stuck on the tracks before being struck by a freight train. The female driver of the car was able to escape before the impact and was not hurt. The woman's car became stuck on the tracks near 2nd and Depot in Bridgeport just before 1:00 a.m. Wednesday morning. No one on-board the Norfolk Southern freight train was injured.

The Manayunk Bridge has reopened after 30 Years. The bridge, which links Lower Merion Township with Philadelphia is now open to pedestrians and cyclists. The project cost $5.76 million dollars and began four years ago. The bridge creates a convenient crossing between Lower Merion Township and Main Street in Manayunk and establishes a crucial link in the Circuit Trails, a 750-mile network of bicycle and pedestrian trails in the Greater Philadelphia region.

Police say needle-like objects have reportedly been found in candy handed out to trick-or-treaters including several separate reports in Kennett Square. Police say a "needle-type item" was found inside wrapped candy bars given to five different children on Halloween night. They're urging parents to check all candy their children are given. People who have leftover candy are also being asked to check it for possible tampering.

Yesterday, an American Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Philadelphia had to be diverted to Phoenix because of an unruly passenger. Shortly after takeoff when the "Fasten Seatbelt" sign was turned off, authorities say the man walked to the first-class section, started making alarming statements, mentioned 9-11 and refused to take his seat. Kalis Adams (pictured) left his home on the 6200 block of Carpenter Street in Cobbs Creek after an argument with his siblings. The Fairmount Welcome Center that resembles a flying saucer in Love Park caught fire overnight. Fire crews were on the scene at about 3 a.m. Crews faced heavy smoke coming from the welcome center. Aided by sprinkler systems, the fire was placed under control in half an hour. The fire was primarily located in the basement area. No injuries were reported. An investigation is underway.
