Six former Philadelphia police narcotics officers have been arrested and are in federal custody on corruption charges. The federal grand jury probe is said to go back to January. The officers allegedly used their guns, badges and uniforms in robberies of drug dealers. Commissioner Charles Ramsey had pulled all the officers off the street several months ago when the probe began.

A vigil is planned tonight for the three children killed in the carjacking hit and run last week. The event will take place at 6 this evening at Germantown and Allegheny Avenues in North Philadelphia. The mother of the children Keisha Williams remains hospitalized in critical condition. According to her family, Williams is in a medically induced coma and does not know her children have died.

Philadelphia police have suspects in custody in connection with the carjacking that killed three children and injured several others on Friday. Two men carjacked a real estate agent's SUV at gunpoint then crashed it into a crowd including Keisha Williams and her three children - 15, 10 and 7 years old. All three children died. The mother is in critical condition.

Radnor Police have arrested a McDonald's employee for selling drugs in the parking lot. Allen Trammell is a 29 year old food prep service worker at the McDonald's on Lancaster Avenue in Wayne, PA. He was busted Tuesday night for selling crack cocaine to undercover officers in the back parking lot. He is being held on $100,000 bail.

The Sheraton in Center City was evacuated early this morning because of smoke in the basement. About 4am the fire department was called to the scene and about 1,000 people had to get out of bed and onto the streets outside the 26 story hotel. The origin of the smoke was an electrical panel in the HVAC system. After about 4 hours outside, guests were allowed to return to their rooms.

A casino robbery in Atlantic City saw two masked gunmen make off with more than $180,000 in cash. It happened Monday morning at Caesars Atlantic City. Sources say the suspects fled in a car with two plastic cash boxes containing the cash. The State Police Casino Gaming Bureau is handling the investigation.

The very first Wawa store will be closing. Wawa store number 1 at McDade Boulevard and Swarthmore Avenue in Ridley Township, Delaware County opened 50 years ago. The store will be closing and moving to a new larger location on McDade where it will become a Super Wawa with six gasoline islands. According to Wawa, the new store will still be referred to as store number one.

There is a lot of finger pointing over who launched the surface-to-air missile that shot down a Malaysian Airlines passenger jet over Ukraine carrying almost 300 passengers. Ukraine accused pro-Russian separatists. However the rebels have denied downing the plane. Police have charged the 23 year old West Philadelphia man in custody in connection with the brutal murder of Laura Araujo, a recent graduate of the Art Institute of Philadelphia. Jeremiah Jackson, charged with murder, lived in the same building at the 40th and Brown as his victim. He confessed to killing her while being questioned by police yesterday. The motive was money. He thought Araujo had a large amount of money.

Police have a 23 year old West Philadelphia man in custody in connection with the brutal murder of Laura Araujo, a recent graduate of the Art Institute of Philadelphia. Her body was found in North Philly in a duffel bag, bound with duct tape on Monday. Her car was found on fire in South Philadelphia. Police have surveillance camera footage from both locations. The man in custody lives in the same building as the victim.
