In an effort to avert a strike, SEPTA is in mediation sessions today. If rail workers strike this weekend, Regional Rail service will be suspended, affecting 60,000 riders. If there is no strike SEPTA will implement a wage hike on Sunday.

Philadelphia police are looking for the man who put an explosive device in a soda machine. A Frankford teenager has been reported missing by his parents. Fourteen year old Jose Luciano (pictured) went missing at 4 pm yesterday when he ran out of his home on the 1600 block of Worrell Street wearing no shoes or shirt. The teen has been diagnosed with ADHD and also has an arm disability. Jose Luciano is 5' 9" tall. If you see him, please call police.

Crews have finished removing the huge pile of dirt from beneath the I-495 bridge, a possible cause of the tilting problem on the bridge over the Christina River around Wilmington. In the meantime, questions remain about when the bridge that has shifted 18 inches out of line, started to tilt. The bridge was inspected and passed just a few months ago.

Jon Bon Jovi made a surprise visit to the lemonade stand of a New Jersey boy with inoperable brain cancer. Mario Carpino (pictured) has had brain tumors since age 4 and decided to raise money for cancer victims by selling lemonade. Mario's two heroes are Padre Pio and Jersey rocker Bon Jovi. Mario created a Facebook page and asked Bon Jovi to come to his Alex's Lemonade Stand at the Woolwich Fire Department.

Seventy years ago today, American and allied forces stormed the beaches in Normandy, France. President Obama was in France this morning with world leaders to mark the 70th anniversary of D-Day, the turning point in World War II. Obama and French President Francois Hollande laid a wreath at the American cemetery near Omaha Beach where more than 9,000 Americans are buried.

A special education teacher in Philadelphia was arraigned overnight on charges she had sexual relations with a 14 year old student. Thirty year old Stephanie Amato (pictured), a special-ed teacher at the Ethan Allen School in Mayfair turned herself into the Special Victims Unit yesterday. Amato has been a teacher at Ethan Allen for six years and is accused of having sex with the student numerous times in her car and her home in Northeast Philly.

The closing of the bridge on I-495 over the Christina River around Wilmington is causing bumper to bumper traffic on I-95 and in neighborhoods around the closures as travelers search for alternate routes. Eight of the bridge's support columns are twisted and tilted making it unsafe for traffic. DelDot says it will be weeks before they have definitive information on the cause of the problem and a potential solution.

The bridge over the Christina River on Route 495 around Wilmington is closed while DelDOT analyzes the problem. There is a structural issue that is causing the bridge to tilt. About 90,000 cars use 495 around Wilmington daily. The bridge and that stretch of 495 will be closed indefinitely.

The co-owner of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Lewis Katz was killed with six others in a plane crash Saturday night in Massachusetts. His death comes just days after his successful buyout of the newspaper with partner Gerry Lenfest. The plane crashed during takeoff when it careened off the runway and burst into flames. Katz and the others on the plane were returning from an event at the home of Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Doris Kearns Goodwin.
