As expected, with the White House announcement that US Navy Seals killed Osama Bin Laden, the doubters and conspiracy theorists have pelted the internet with claims that Bin Laden is still alive. Especially with news that his body was buried at sea the next day, what evidence of his death remains? There are even reports that a "new" video message from Osama Bin Laden is being released.

The announcement came late night on May 1st. US Military forces killed Osama Bin Laden. Crowds have gathered in New York City and Washington DC, some in celebration, others in memory of the lives lost on 9-11.

And now, Police in Philadelphia and around the country are on special alert for possible terrorist attacks following the killing of Osama bin Laden.

Many of us were watching the Phillies battle the Mets when we got the news that Osama Bin Laden had been killed. It is unusual for commentators to interrupt a national telecast with a news story. But that's exactly what the ESPN broadcast crew did around 11pm last night. Big news indeed. Much of the country rejoiced at home with the Citizen's Bank Park crowd who repeated chants of "U-S-A!". The storms that swept through the Philadelphia region left billions of dollars in damage and a death toll now estimated by CNN at over 300 victims across several states including Pennsylvania. Round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs are set to drop at center ice tomorrow at 3:00pm at the Wells Fargo Center, with the Philadelphia Flyers taking on the Boston Bruins in a rematch from last year's incredible series in which the Flyers overcame a 3-0 deficit to win the series. In what could be the largest data breach in history, Sony has notified its Playstation users informing them that their personal information has fallen into the hands of hackers. Lifted was personal data for over 77 million users worldwide. More than a half million people in the Philadelphia area may be affected and are very concerned as the theft of user names, birthdates, email addresses and credit card numbers have caused the complete shutdown of the Playstation network. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the juxtaposition of the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts' street fair and the 32nd annual Blue Cross Broad Street Run will cause the city to shut down areas of Broad Street from 1 p.m. Friday to 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
