Thursday marked the final night of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. Speeches and protesters have been the two underlying themes of the event. The protesters, at times, have drawn more attention than the speeches and while Hillary Clinton prepared to face her biggest audience, so too did the protesters. As the speeches were given on Thursday night, protesters march outside of the arena with signs, chanting and making their voices heard. As the hundreds of protesters... Read More

Former Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was on hand for the third day of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. She discussed gun violence in the United States after being shot in 2011. Giffords said she learned a powerful lesson while in congress. "Strong women get things done." She said that Clinton earned her support because she believes a Clinton White House would fight against gun lobbyists. Giffords summed things up by saying, "speaking is difficult for me, but... Declaring America in crisis, Donald Trump pledged to cheering Republicans and still-skeptical voters Thursday night that as president he will restore the safety they fear they're losing, strictly curb immigration and save the nation from Hillary Clinton's record of "death, destruction, terrorism and weakness." Confidently addressing the finale of his party's less-than-smooth national convention, the billionaire businessman declared the nation's problems too staggering to be fixed within the... United for a night, Republicans nominated Donald Trump Tuesday night as their presidential standard-bearer, capping the billionaire businessman's stunning takeover of the GOP and propelling him into a November faceoff with Democrat Hillary Clinton. Trump's campaign hoped the formal nomination would both end the discord surging through the Republican Party and overshadow the convention's chaotic kickoff, including a plagiarism charge involving Melania Trump's address on opening night.
