Playstation Security Breach Spills User Data

In what could be the largest data breach in history, Sony has notified its Playstation users informing them that their personal information has fallen into the hands of hackers. Lifted was personal data for over 77 million users worldwide. More than a half million people in the Philadelphia area may be affected and are very concerned as the theft of user names, birthdates, email addresses and credit card numbers have caused the complete shutdown of the Playstation network. Broad Street Bottlenecks This Weekend

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the juxtaposition of the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts' street fair and the 32nd annual Blue Cross Broad Street Run will cause the city to shut down areas of Broad Street from 1 p.m. Friday to 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, facing an "unprecedented" fiscal crisis, the Philadelphia School District could shed 3,820 employees - 16 percent of its workforce - and is planning for more painful cuts, including losing full-day kindergarten.

Obama's Birth Certificate Released

The White House released President Obama's long form birth certificate. It shows the President was, in fact, born in the US. So is the debate over? Not likely. The political propaganda machine will continue to churn on both sides. Since it is a requirement to become a US president that you be born here, why not require all presidential candidates to provide long form birth certificates before their campaign ever starts?

Philadelphia's District Attorney will ask the US Supreme Court to reconsider the sentencing of convicted death row murderer Mumia Abu-Jamal after the Third Circuit Court upheld its previous decision. Abu-Jamal received the death sentence for the 1981 execution style murder of Philadelphia Police Officer, Daniel Faulkner.
