Stage Collapse before Radiohead Concert Kills 1, Injures 3 in Toronto

Radiohead was scheduled to perform a sold-out outdoor concert at Toronto's Downsview Park Saturday night, but that had to be canceled after a tragic accident before the gates opened yesterday afternoon. Vendors, workers and other crew were busy setting up around the venue making final preparations when everyone's attention turned toward the stage at around 4 pm.

Long Beach Island Beaches Reopen; Rodney King, 47, found dead

Long Beach Island has reopened 9 miles of beaches from Ship Bottom to Barnegat Light today after they were shutdown on Saturday. Trash, debris, eel grass, and medical waste had washed ashore along that stretch. Township employees worked Saturday and early Sunday to clear the beaches and they were reopened this morning at 9:15 am. They'll continue to monitor the situation.

DRPA Changes Rules for Senior Discount; Head of PHA leaves Unexpectedly; Phils Lose, Lee winless

The Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) has changed the rules regarding the 50% senior discount on it's 4 area bridges. DRPA operates the Ben Franklin, Walt Whitman, Betsy Ross, and Commodore Barry Bridges over the Delaware River. Senior Citizens 65 and older who want the discount must now send DRPA a copy of their driver's license and vehicle registration along with their E-ZPass transponder number. He will take his role as the 70th president of the USCM this weekend at their annual gathering is Orlando. Daredevil Nik Wallenda became the first person to walk on a tightrope over and across Niagara Falls. His 1,800 ft journey took him over the brink of the falls and through the mist and fog. There have been other wire crossings before, but none over the falls and not since 1896.

Prosecutors in the Jerry Sandusky trial closed their case yesterday. Jurors heard testimony of sexual assault, groping, sodomy and rape from several victims, now in their 20's. On Monday, Sandusky's defense will get its chance to submit evidence. It is still not known whether Sandusky himself will take the stand.

A Philadelphia Police officer who collided with a vehicle while riding his motorcycle last week died last night. The crash happened last Friday at the intersection of Broad and Master streets in North Philadelphia and left 28-year-old Milan Merke in extremely critical condition. The 35th District officer, who was off-duty at the time of the crash, was riding with Midnight Run for Peace to promote anti-violence.

Chris Brown and Drake leave NYC club trashed after brawl over Rihannna

Late Wednesday night at Club W.I.P. in SoHo in Manhattan Chris Brown and Drake ignited a bar brawl that sent bottles and ice flying, leaving the club a mess with broken glass and several people bloody, including an innocent bystander (a tourist from Australia).
