A 19-year-old woman was injured today in a building collapse in North Philadelphia. She was trapped after a two-story garage collapsed at 12th Street and Lehigh Avenue. She was taken to Temple University Hospital for treatment. The building collapsed after a car making a turn at the intersection lost control and crashed into the empty garage causing the front to crumble. There were four in the car all of whom were transported to Temple University Hospital.

A wrong-way driver killed a mother of five overnight last night on the Boulevard. The accident happened at 2:30am near Cottman Avenue and the Boulevard. A 23-year-old woman with a 24-year-old woman passenger was driving her Buick the wrong way in the southbound lanes. They hit a family's minivan with 36-year-old Alesha Taylor sitting passenger, her 33-year-old husband driving, and their three year old daughter in the back. Taylor died in the hospital about an hour of the crash suffering a lacerated liver. Her husband has a broken femur. The daughter has only minor injuries. She is the mother of five children under twelve. The driver of the Buick suffered a dislocated hip and the passenger has a broken pelvis. The accident is under investigation to determine why she was driving the wrong way and if she was under the influence.

There was a double shooting in the Hunting Park section of Philadelphia tonight. It happened around 6:15 Sunday night on the 500 block of Rising Sun Avenue. One male was shot in the chest and another suffered a graze wound. The first victim was taken to Temple University Hospital and is in stable condition. This occurred following the Puerto Rican Day parade.
