Temple Almost Brought Jerry Sandusky to Philadelphia

Penn State's Jerry Sandusky almost landed in Philadelphia as head coach of the Temple Owls. In 1988, Temple University was recruiting Sandusky heavily after firing Bruce Ariens. And the Penn State defensive coordinator seemed to be the perfect fit. He had helped Penn State win a national championship in 1986 and had produced seven All-America linebackers.

Why aren’t the Eagles winning? Is it Andy Reid? The defense? Offense? Some say it points to Michael Vick.

Fugitive Philadelphia Lawyer Arrested in Alabama

Philadelphia lawyer Michael Kwasnik has been arrested in Dothan Alabama. Police arrested Kwasnik, a fugitive sought on charges that he had stolen $1.1 million from an elderly Cherry Hill widow.

Dothan Police Chief Gregory Benton said the arrest was made after police received a tip about a man at a Greyhound bus station transporting narcotics. Philadelphia boxing great, Joe Frazier died on Monday after being diagnosed with liver cancer about a month ago. He was 67. Smokin' Joe Frazier won Olympic Gold on his way to becoming one of boxing's all time heavyweight stars. Early in his career, Joe Frazier would train in a Philadelphia slaughterhouse, punching meat like a heavy bag, a workout made famous later in Rocky movies.
