Police in Delaware have cancelled an Amber Alert for a potential child abduction. The alert was issued on Tuesday evening after a report of a possible kidnapping by a witness near Albion Drive and Elliot Street in the Whispering Pines community of Newark, DE. Police have not received a missing child report and they canvased the area and have not found anything. New Castle County Detectives announced that although they were canceling the alert they will continue to investigate.

A former Philadelphia priest has been arrested for sexually assaulting a boy from 1998 to 2001. Rev. Robert L. Brennan, 75, is charged of rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and aggravated indecent assault. The victim first reported the assault to the Archdiocese of Philadelphia this January, which immediately contacted authorities. The assaults occurred while Brennan was assistant pastor at Resurrection of Our Lord Church in Northeast Philadelphia. They occurred on church grounds, his bedroom, and in a movie theater. The victim was 11 years old when they started and stopped when he was 14. Brennan was named multiple times in a 2005 grand jury report but other abuse allegations have been past the statute of limitations. The Archdiocese says it's petition to laicize Brennan is pending. He was arrested at his home in Maryland and will be extradited in the coming days.

A 12-year-old boy has been charged in the shooting of a 17-year-old boy in Wilmington, DE. It happened on Friday at around 10pm on the 600 block of North Van Buren Street. The 17-year-old was walking when the 12-year-old approached him. That's when the younger one demanded the older one's cell phone and they began to fight. During the stuggle the 12-year-old shot the older one in the leg. He was arrested on Wednesday and charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, robbery and assault. He was already on probation for robbery. The boy has been committed to New Castle County Detention Center on $150,000 cash bail.
