Philadelphia city officials had given residents of two protest encampments until 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning, 8/18, to clear out, but that deadline has passed and the camps are still there. They are located at 22nd Street and Benjamin Franklin Parkway and also at 20th Street and Ridge Avenue near the Philadelphia Housing Authority headquarters. A South Philadelphia woman has been charged in the death of a teenager whose decomposing body was found in her home earlier this year. 26-year-old Maddison Leidy has been charged with drug delivery resulting in death. The Archdiocese of Philadelphia Office of Catholic Education has released a video that previews how the hybrid A/B learning model will work in Archdiocesan high schools for the 2020-21 academic year. All 17 high schools will be returning to school this fall using the hybrid model.
