Authorities in Upper Bucks County are currently investigating two locations in Milford Township in relation to a series of mysterious explosions. One person is now under arrest. At least 20 loud booms have been heard in Bucks and Lehigh counties in the middle of the night dating back to April 2nd. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy announced that he is retiring. The 81-year-old was appointed by President Reagan and has served over 30 years on the bench. Kennedy was a conservative voice on the court, but also acted as the swing vote on several occasions siding with his liberal colleagues. His retirement is expected to take effect the end of July. A warrant has been issued for the South Jersey man who stole a plane and took it for a joyride along the shore on Sunday night, 6/24. The man has been identified as 50-year-old Jimmy Dahlen Jr. He works as a mechanic at Paramount Air Services in Middle Township. He is the stepson of the owner of the business which flies banners and advertisements along the shore. Philadelphia Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley has denied Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill's, aka Robert Rimeek Williams, appeal for a new trial. The judge filed her decision on Monday, 6/25, one week from the appeal hearing on 6/18. Mill had appealed his 2008 conviction on drug and gun charges under the Post Conviction Relief Act claiming exculpatory evidence has become available. The two men accused of killing Philadelphia Police Sergeant Robert Wilson III in March 2015 pled guilty today in court. Carlton Hipps and Ramone Williams accepted a plea deal that took the death penalty off the table in exchange for life in prison plus 50-100 years. A man on a bicycle was struck and killed by a dump truck in North Philadelphia on Friday morning, 6/22. It happened after 8:30 a.m. at Whitaker Avenue and Luzerne Street in the city's Franklinville section. The truck was traveling westbound on Luzerne Street and the man on the bicycle was riding alongside. The truck driver tried to turn right onto Whitaker Avenue when he hit the cyclist. President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Wednesday, 6/20, that will end the separation of children from parents after they cross the US-Mexico border illegally. The new order does not end the 'zero-tolerance' policy that prosecutes all immigrants caught crossing outside border checkpoints.
