Thousands of rare insects and reptiles have been stolen from the Philadelphia Insectarium and Butterfly Pavilion. It happened on August 22nd, and perhaps on other days, from the museum located on the 8000 block of Frankford Ave. in the Holmesburg neighborhood. Over 7,000 animals worth $40,000 were taken. Officials in Bucks County are searching for a Langhorne woman who has been missing since Wednesday afternoon, 8/29. 21-year-old Christina Giuffre was last seen around 3pm Wednesday in the Croydon section of Bristol Township. She did not show up for her job at 5 p.m. and attempts to contact her cell phone have been unsucessful. She was last seen wearing a red tank top and either white or gray pants. The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office has announced that a suspect has been arrested in connection to the murder of model Christina Kraft last week. 30-year-old Jonathan Wesley Harris of Johnstown, PA, was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals on Wednesday, 8/29, in Pittsburgh. They greeted him as he arrived by bus fleeing the Philadelphia area. He is charged with first, second, and third-degree murder, robbery and theft. Philadelphia Police are looking for a man who attacked an employee at a Wendy's drive through window in the city's Tioga/Nicetown neighborhood earlier this month. Philadelphia Police located the remains of the son of a late state representative who had been abducted nearly 12 years ago. Police got a tip this week about the remains and discovered them in a vacant lot at Third and Allegheny in North Philadelphia. Dental records matched them to Shamari Taylor, the son of the late State Representative Jon Myers.
