Two police officers were shot and injured on Monday night, 7/4, during Philadelphia's 4th of July Concert and Fireworks. It happened at 9:47 p.m. on the 2400 block of Spring Garden Street near the Benjamin Franklin Parkway by Eakins Oval and the Art Museum. Shots rang out soon after the fireworks and music began. People started to rush away from the scene and down the Parkway. Police were also trying the evacuate the area. A Philadelphia officer assigned to the highway patrol was grazed in the head. A Montgomery County bomb squad officer was shot in the shoulder. They were both taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and are in stable condition. Police are still looking for the shooter. They are asking everyone to avoid the area. You can go to 1901 Vine St. in front of the Free Library of Philadelphia to reunite with loved ones.

Two people have been taken into custody following a road rage shooting in Old City on Monday afternoon, 7/4. It happened after 3 p.m. on the 200 block of Market Street. It started as a verbal argument between motorists. One motorist threw a drink at another's vehicle. They then exchanged throwing bottles. After they stepped out of their cars, one of the men decided to open fire. A 20-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and in the leg and is now in critical, but stable condition at Jefferson Hospital. Police officers were nearby and were able to apprehend the men involved.

Upper Darby Police are searching for a teenager wanted in the deadly shooting of another teen on Friday night, 7/2. 16-year-old Jermaine Young is charged with third-degree murder, involuntary manslaughter, and related offenses in the death of a 14-year-old. It happened before 7 p.m. on the 6900 block of Ruskin Lane. Young was in the basement of a house with five friends when he shot the weapon. He apparently told his sister that he accidentally shot the gun and didn't know it was loaded. If you have any information on Young's whereabouts, contact the Upper Darby Police Department.
