The funeral for the 12 victims killed in tragic Fairmount row home fire was held on Monday, 1/17, at the Liacouris Center on the campus of Temple University. Three adults and nine children died in early morning blaze on January 5th on the 800 block of N. 23rd Street. The New Jersey Attorney General's Office released new videos that show the moments a man went on a rampage with a backhoe in Vineland in December 2021. It happened around 5 a.m. on Saturday, 12/18, in the Penn Lincoln Mobile Home Park. 20-year-old Joshua Gonzalez of Millville was operating the heavy equipment as he damaged homes, patrol cars, an ambulance, and an occupied civilian vehicle. On Thursday, 1/13, the U.S. Supreme Court handed the Biden administration mixed rulings on its vaccine mandates. The court voted 6-3 against the mandate requiring COVID-19 vaccinations for all workers at businesses with 100 or more employees. Workers who are not vaccinated would had to have been tested regularly. This would have been enforced by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). A man working as a construction subcontractor for a Berks County school is accused of trying to lure a 13-year-old girl. 34-year-old Jeremy Kreiser is charged with attempted indecent assault and attempted unlawful contact of a minor. He was arrested on Tuesday, 1/11. Kreiser was working as a private construction subcontractor and was not an employee of the Reading School District. Four people received non life-threatening injuries when a medical helicopter crashed in Delaware County on Tuesday afternoon, 1/11. It happened around 1 p.m. next to the Drexel Hill United Methodist Church on the 600 block of Burmont Road near Bloomfield Avenue in Drexel Hill. Pennsylvania State Police are investigating after the body of a woman was discovered in a state park in Bucks County over the weekend. The remains were found around 10 a.m. on Saturday, 1/8, at Neshaminy State Park on the 3400 block of State Road in Bensalem. The Bucks County coroner has identified the victim as 50-year-old Lisa Jennings of Philadelphia. She suffered stab and slash wounds to the neck. The Philadelphia School District announced more schools that will move to virtual learning for this upcoming week due to coronavirus COVID-19 and staffing challenges. That list is now up to 91 schools. The school district gives daily updates at 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. with any changes to the virtual school list. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the Philadelphia area from 10 p.m. Thursday to 10 a.m. Friday. Snow could fall heavy at times overnight. It is possible to see 3-5 inches along the I-95 corridor. The Philadelphia School District announced that it will be moving to virtual learning on Friday, 1/7, due to the snow.

A rowhome fire in Philadelphia killed 12 people, including eight children, on Wednesday morning, 1/5. The victims range in age from two to 33 years old. It started around 6:40 a.m. on the 800 block of North 23rd Street in the Fairmount neighborhood. The Philadelphia fire department arrived to heavy flames coming from the second floor.
