A South Philadelphia man, missing since late last month, was found dead this week by a group of juveniles in South Philly. 25-year-old Francis Decero went missing on April 26. His car was later found double parked and out of gas on the 2800 block of South 13th Street. Family and friends posted flyers around the neighborhood. On Wednesday, May 4, a group of juveniles flagged down some officers. They had discovered a body in the bushes on the 1700 block of Vare Avenue. It was identified as Decero. He had been shot in the elbow, stabbed, beaten, and had burned marks. Police say a theory that he was a robbery target due to a recent large lottery winning has been looked at and lottery officials do not have record of any winnings. The investigation is ongoing.

One person is dead and another was injured after a crash near the Commodore Barry Bridge in Chester, Delaware County, on Friday morning, 5/5. It happened just before 7:30 a.m. on Route 291 and West Jeffrey Street. A tractor trailer was pulling off the ramp from Rt. 322. A sedan "struck the side of the truck, causing the sedan to become wedged underneath the trailer," said Chester Police Capt. Matthew Goldschmidt in a statement. The driver of the sedan died at the scene. A adult in the passenger seat suffered minor injuries. An infant in the rear seat was not injured. The driver of the truck was also not injured. The crash remains under investigation.

Philadelphia Police are looking for a suspect wanted for ambushing a man in Kensington on Thursday, 5/5. He was caught on surveillance video. It happened around Noon on the 1800 block of Clementine Street. The suspect opened fire multiple times with two handguns at the 20-year-old victim. The suspect was last seen running down Ruth Street. The victim was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition.
