At least 5 people were killed, and 8 injured in a shooting at Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida. It happened just before 1 p.m. at the baggage claim inside Terminal 2. The gunman was taken into custody unharmed. He has been identified as 26-year-old Esteban Santiago born in New Jersey but has lived in recently in Alaska and has an address in Naples, FL. The Philadelphia Union has signed left-back Giliano Wijnaldum for their 2017 season. Wijnaldum has been playing in the second tier soccer club Bochum in Germany. New Jersey Police are now searching for a suspect that they say beat up a high school student back in December. The incident took place on December 14th on Bromley Boulevard in Burlington Township. Police say that an 18-year-old man accidentally cut off another driver, which prompted the incident. Philadelphia Police are now investigating after an 87-year-old man was robbed in a home invasion on Thursday in the Port Richmond Section of Philadelphia. The robbery took place at the man's home on the 3500 block of Emerald Street just before 12:15 pm. Police say that the man answered the door and when he opened the door four men in their 20's forced themselves inside the house. They have released a sketch of the suspect who is otherwise described as being a white male, completely naked except for sneakers, clean shaven, excessively hairy, and chubby. The City of Philadelphia has announced they will be issuing a Code Blue due to the extreme cold coming our way in the next couple days. Until next Wednesday, the Philly area is facing highs in only the 30's and officials are warning pedestrians to stay indoors during the harsh cold. Police are now searching for two suspects that robbed a Wawa in the Somerton section of Philadelphia on Monday. The robbery took place at the Wawa on the 14000 block of Busleton Avenue at 5:35 am on Monday. Police say that a male suspect who was armed with a hammer began hitting the cash registers in the store, as the female suspect began to take the money and cigarettes from behind the counter and throw them in a trash bag. A suspect in the New Year's Day hit-and-run of a bicyclist in Bucks County has turned himself into the Bensalem Township Police Department. James Hasher surrendered to police on Wednesday morning. It happened around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. 56-year-old Lenny Golin was riding his bike along Tennis Avenue in Bensalem, between Bristol Pike and State Road, when he was struck.
