The Electoral College is set to meet Monday to vote for President of the United States. In all of the 50 states, as well as the District of Columbia, voters chosen by the states' party that carried their state will cast their votes for President of the United States. Montgomery County authorities have arrested the nephew of a woman stabbed to death on Friday in Conshohocken. 28-year-old Matthew Wertz is charged with first-degree murder and related charges. Wertz had just been released from jail and had been staying with his aunt. Police were called to the 900 block of Hallowell Street for the report of a disturbance at 5:14 a.m. on Friday. A Pennsylvania mother pled guilty today to throwing her 20-month-old son off a bridge and into a river. 21-year-old Johnesha Perry told the Lehigh County Judge, "I dropped him, yes, because I wanted to die with him and go to heaven." Judge Kelly Banach sentenced Perry to 20 to 40 years in state prison on the third-degree murder charge. Police have stated that a 10-year-old boy has been killed in a house fire that broke out in the Cobbs Creek section of Philadelphia on Friday. The fire broke out on the 1200 block of South Millick Street at around 4 am. Firefighters arrived on scene to heavy smoke pouring out of the second floor window. The fire spread to three of the neighboring homes. Firefighters did their best to save the boy, but were not able to reach him due to the vast flames. The boy's father had to be rushed to... The Phillies have now signed center fielder Odubel Herrera to a five-year contract that will last through the 2021 season. The Phillies acquired Herrera back in 2014 in the Rule 5 draft from of the Texas Rangers. This past 2016 season Herrera batted a .286 ERA, with 21 doubles, six triples, 15 home runs, 87 runs and 25 stolen bases. Herrera also was selected to be on the National League All-Star team. One man has been arrested and another sought in connection to a robbery of an elderly woman at Parx Casino earlier this week. Bensalem Police says that 33-year-old Jason Ballard has been taken into custody. He is charged with robbery, theft and conspiracy. They are still seeking 31-year-old Miguel Soto on the same charges. Three people have been arrested in a prostitution sting operation in Bensalem on Thursday. The suspects were caught in the sting operation in a hotel in the Bensalem area. One of the suspects in custody, Chanelle Pugh, was confronted by police in the hotel room during the sting. Temple Students Robbed in Apartment, Search For Officer's Uniform Theft, Montco 2017 Budget Approved

Four Temple University students were robbed in their off campus apartment. The incident happened on the 1900 block of 18th Street after 5 am on Thursday. The victims told police they were asleep in their apartment, and when they woke up in the early morning hours they found a man in a ski mask, carrying a gun, robbing their apartment.
