Teen Killed In West Phill; Groups Protest To Keep Obamacare; Taxi Driver Shot 13 Times

Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a teenager was shot and killed in West Philadelphia on Sunday. The victim has been identified as 16-year-old Sean D Jones, an immigrant from Jamaica who came over this past August. The shooting took place on the 200 block of North 52nd Street at around 1 pm. Police arrived on the scene to find the boy shot in the head. He was then quickly rushed to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where he was later pronounced dead. So far no arrests... Pennsylvania State Police say traffic is snarled following a multi-vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer in the southbound lanes of the Northeast Extension between the Lansdale and Quakertown exits. Police say the accident happened just before 3 p.m. and two to three vehicles are involved. One victim was medevaced to an area hospital. No word on their condition. Only one lane is getting by.

The New Jersey State Medical Examiner has changed the manner of death of the former head of Cooper University Hospital from 'suicide' to 'undetermined.' 72-year-old John Sheridan and his wife, 69-year-old Joyce, were found dead inside their home after a fire in September 2014. They were both in the bedroom. It was initially ruled a murder-suicide. Joyce had suffered stab wounds. John had also suffered what were called 'self-inflicted wounds' but no weapon could be found. A Delaware County man is under arrest after stealing a SUV last weekend with a baby in the back seat. It happened around 5pm Saturday at the Shoppes At Sproul Plaza on South Sproul Road in Broomall. The 1-year-old girl's parents left the car running and unlocked at they went into a bakery and then into the Wawa at the other end of the plaza. A Dover, Delaware woman has been identified as one of the five people who were shot and killed last Friday at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Broward County officials released the names of the five fatal victims on Wednesday from the shooting on January 6th. 69-year-old Mary Louise Amzibel was originally from Ohio but moved to Delaware. A passing motorist shot a suspect who carjacked a SEPTA vehicle this morning in West Philadelphia. It all happened just before 11 am at 63rd and Woodbine in the Overbrook neighborhood. The 32-year-old suspect was speeding in his Dodge Charger and crashed into a car in the intersection. That car then hit two others.
