An elderly woman is now in the hospital after being attacked by two dogs in the Germantown section of Philadelphia on Wednesday afternoon. The incident happened on the 5800 block of Brush Road at around 3:40 pm on Wednesday. Police responded to a call of a person screaming and arrived on the scene to find a 96-year-old woman who was unresponsive suffering from multiple bites on her arm and face. A New Jersey man has died from injuries sustained when a 50 lb dumbbell came crashing through his windshield while traveling on the New Jersey Turnpike two weeks ago. 75-year-old Jack DeCarlo of Hamilton Township, Mercer County, died on Tuesday. On January 9th, DeCarlo and his wife were headed to Myrtle Beach, SC. It happened around 7:18 a.m. in the southbound lanes near mile marker 6, north of Interchange 1 in Oldmans Township. Chester County Officials have reported that two dogs have been returned to their homes after being stolen in early January. East Fallowfield Township resident Mark Uschold has been placed into police custody in connection with the dog kidnapping. Uschold stole the dogs from West Caln Township resident Ruth King's home on January 6th. Neighbors reported seeing Uschold drive off with King's Golden Retriever and German Shepherd. Residents in Montgomery County awoke early this morning to a massive sink hole in their front yards. It happened around dawn in front of two homes on the 700 block of Brooke Road in Glenside, Cheltenham Township. The hole stretched from part of the road straight across to the homes' foundations and took up half of each front yard on either side. Phillies top pitching prospect Matt Imhof has now decided to retire from baseball after he lost his right eye in a freak accident during training. The accident happened during the 2016 season with the Clearwater Thrashers when he was taking part in a stretching exercise using resistance bands. Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a deadly shooting took place in the Feltonville section of Philadelphia. The shooting happened on the 500 block of West Luray Lane at around 8:40 pm on Tuesday night. Police arrived on the scene to find a 33-year-old man laying on the ground with gun shot wounds. A Philadelphia sheriff's lieutenant who was severely injured in an elevator accident in Center City over the summer is leaving the hospital and going home. Philadelphia Sheriff Lt. Paul Owens was riding in a court staff elevator at the Criminal Justice Center on the morning of August 4th. The elevator malfunctioned and the car crashed through the roof of the elevator shaft.
