World Cafe Live at the Queen in Wilmington, DE, has announced that it will part ways with the venue in May. The music venue opened in 2011 in the completely renovated but long shuttered movie house and theater. Owner Hal Real also owns Philadelphia's World Cafe Live on Walnut Street in University City that shares a building with radio station WXPN. The name is licensed from XPN and it's namesake radio show hosted by David Dye. Just like Philadelphia, the Wilmington WCL has a large theater space downstairs and a smaller cafe upstairs. "We are proud of the role we have played as a catalyst for revitalizing downtown Wilmington, although we would have hoped the downtown renaissance would have grown at a more rapid pace," Real said in a statement. "Despite our best efforts to make the Queen a seven-days-a-week-operation, we have not been able to generate the revenue required to sustain such an ambitious business model over the past six years."

Developer Chris Buccini's Buccini/Pollin group renovated the historic building for $25 million and WCL was a tenant. He says that a new management company will takeover and maintain it as a live music venue and private event space. The new venue will simply be known as the Queen. It will continue to host national and local acts on both upstairs and downstairs stage. An announcement of the new partner will come in a few weeks. All shows will go on as scheduled through May. The final show will be on May 25. It will be free and feature local artists. Real also plans to launch 'World Cafe Live Presents' to put on concerts at other venues in Philadelphia and Wilmington. http://www.worldcafelive.com/wilmington/

Philadelphia Police are questioning a person-of-interest wanted in a home invasion and sexual assault in Chestnut Hill over the weekend. It happened around 4 a.m. Saturday on the unit block of Chestnut Hill Ave. An armed man entered through an unlocked door and went to the bedroom of the sleeping couple. He forced the 56-year-old wife to perform a sex act on him at gunpoint while holding off the 55-year-old husband. At some point, he put the gun down and she grabbed it. She tried to shoot but it did not fire. As they dialed 911, the suspect fled with their wallets, phones, and keys and took off in their car in the driveway. The person was taken into custody on Tuesday morning for questioning. His identity has not been released.

Police in Mt. Laurel, NJ, are looking for a woman who stole over a grand worth of baby supplies from a local grocery store. It happened on January 22 around 11:50 a.m. at Wegman's. The woman loaded up 45 cans of baby formula and seven boxes of diapers and left the store without paying. The goods were worth $1,159. If you know who she is or have any information call the Mount Laurel Police Department at 856-234-8300.
