Philadelphia Police are now investigating after an 87-year-old man was robbed in a home invasion on Thursday in the Port Richmond Section of Philadelphia. The robbery took place at the man's home on the 3500 block of Emerald Street just before 12:15 pm. Police say that the man answered the door and when he opened the door four men in their 20's forced themselves inside the house. The men said that if he didn't give them money they were going to beat him up. The men were able to get away cash and the man's cell phone. Luckily the victim was not injured, but police are still searching for the suspects.

The Drexel University student who is accused of flying a drone that was close to a Philadelphia Police helicopter is now heading to trial. 20-year-old Joseph Roselli was charged back in November with flying his drone illegally. He appeared in court in Philly on Thursday as the judge was informed of the charges against Roselli. Police say that the drone was flying too high and in a restricted air space in Philadelphia. Police say that the drone was dangerously close to hitting the choppers windscreen, and once police spotted the drone they followed it until they found Roselli flying the drone. Roselli is expected to appear in court again on January 19th.

The National Transportation Safety Board has stated that the agency has begun an investigation into the SEPTA crash that involved two trollies on Wednesday that injured nearly 50 people. The crash happened when one Route 10 trolley rear ended another near 38th and Lancaster Ave at around 1 pm on Wednesday. The NTSB stated that they will be sending a team of 6 to investigate the crash. The team will be looking at the technology and federal oversight that is used among transit operators, as well at looking at other issues.
