The Pennsylvania Parole Board ruled earlier this month that Bill Cosby's request for parole has been denied. The decision was made on May 11, but just released to the public on Thursday, 5/27. The board cited three reasons for denying Cosby early released. 1) Failure to participate in and complete a treatment program for convicted sex offenders 2) Negative recommendation from the state Department of Corrections 3) Failure to develop a parole release plan. Four firefighters and one civilian were injured when a fire engine crashed through a building in North Philadelphia on Thursday afternoon, 5/27. It happened around 4 p.m. at the intersection of 7th and Girard. Engine 29 was responding to a call for a house fire at Front and Dauphin Streets with lights and sirens on. Philadelphia Police are searching for two suspects wanted for vandalizing the Holocaust Memorial Plaza in Center City on Sunday, May 16. It happened just after 10 p.m. on the 1600 block of Benjamin Franklin Parkway. A white male and Black female were caught on surveillance video walking through the plaza. Police in Delaware have located the stolen SUV that belonged to the Metro by T Mobile employee who was killed in a robbery earlier this month. It happened on May 15 at the cell phone store in Elsmere, New Castle County store. 28-year-old Leslie Ruiz-Basilio was shot and killed during the robbery. Charges have been filed in connection to the disappearance of a 10-year-old Folcroft boy over the weekend. 30-year-old Brooke Metra has been charged with obstructing custody of a child and escaping police custody. 10-year-old Mason Brooks, who has a learning disability, went missing from his Delaware County home on Saturday evening. Police in Philadelphia and Montgomery County are being joined by the FBI in the hunt for a serial rapist and stalker that victimized numerous women in the area over a 3-day period last weekend. Philadelphia police identified 28-year-old Kevin Bennett, of Indianapolis, Indiana, as the wanted suspect.
