| The U.S. Food and Drug Administration granted full approval to the Pfizer/BioNTech coronavirus COVID-19 vaccine on Monday, 8/23. The mRNA vaccine had been given an emergency use authorization back in December 2020. Over 200 million doses have been administered since that initial authorization.
