Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf said on Tuesday, 5/19, that he will sign a bill that would allow certain restaurants and bars to serve alcoholic drinks to go. The bill (HB 327 PN 3678) passed overwhelmingly in both the PA House (193-9) and Senate (48-0). Establishments must have a valid restaurant or hotel liquor license and lost more than 25% of their average monthly total sales. A man suspected of DUI is being charged with murder after a crash earlier this week killed a man and an unborn child. It happened before 10 p.m. on Wednesday, 5/13, on the 4900 block of Whitaker Avenue near Penway Street in Lawncrest. A Pennsylvania State Trooper was injured in a hit-and-run in the East Falls section of Philadelphia on Saturday morning, 5/16. It happened around 10:30 a.m. on the 3400 block of School House Lane near Apalogen Road. The trooper was on a motorcycle when he was struck by a car.
