A Germantown woman remains blinded after being attacked with acid outside of her home last week. It happened around 6:15 a.m. October 6 on the 5100 block of Newhall Street. 61-year-old Helen Jones was on the sidewalk outside her home walking to her car parked out front to go to her job as a phlebotomist. Philadelphia Police say that a 10-year-old boy that went missing after school on Wednesday, 10/14, has been found safe. Jack Atkins never came home after leaving Immaculate Heart of Mary School in the Andorra section of Northwest Philadelphia. His bookbag was found at the intersection of Vaux and Bowman Streets in the city’s East Falls section.

Lancaster Police Shooting Ruled Justified; Philly School District Plans; Mother Charged Son's Death

The Lancaster County District Attorney's Office released its findings on Wednesday, 10/14, after reviewing the deadly shooting last month involving a Lancaster city police officer. The City of Philadelphia announced on Tuesday, 10/13, that they have reached an agreement with representatives from the homeless protest encampment on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway (Camp JTD). The residents of the camp will voluntarily vacate the area by the end of this week. The city and Philadelphia Housing Authority will gradually transfer 50 vacant properties into a community land trust. The city will also develop two tiny house villages.

The University of Delaware has suspended 19 student-athletes after they violated university coronavirus COVID-19 guidelines.
