The National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) has teamed up with YouTube Music to present the virtual Save Our Stages Festival #SOSFEST October 16-18. The coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic has forced independent music venues across the nation to close their doors for months. NIVA says that the "90% of independent music venues are on the verge of closing forever" if the pandemic closures continue. It has launched the NIVA Emergency Relief Fund. The Save our Stages Fest "aims to generate significant awareness, advocacy and donations for the NIVA Emergency Relief Fund, directly supporting our most vulnerable venues experiencing catastrophic revenue loss."

WATCH FEST BELOW - Friday 8pm, Saturday 4 pm, Sunday 5 pm - DONATE NOW!

The three-day virtual festival will be held on YouTube. You can also watch the video streams below. There will be more than 35 artists performing from more than 25 different venues. Artists such as Dave Matthews, The Roots, Foo Fighters, Jason Mraz, Demi Lovato, Reba McEntire, The Lumineers, Kelsea Ballerini, and Leon Bridges will be performing from iconic independent venues around the country including Philadelphia's World Cafe Live, Baltimore's 9:30 Club, New York's Apollo Theater, New Orleans' Preservation Hall, and LA's Troubadour and Whiskey A Go Go.

"NIVA's mission is to preserve and nurture the ecosystem of independent live music venues and promoters throughout the United States... The fund will be administered by The Giving Back Fund; a separate non-profit that will oversee the application process for venues to receive grants from the NIVA Emergency Relief Fund."
