| Police in Chester County believe that a man struck and seriously injured on the Route 30 bypass is to blame for the crash because of case of road rage. It happened around 3 p.m. Thursday, 9/10, on the eastbound lanes of the Route 30 bypass near South Whitford Road in West Whiteland Township. The Philadelphia Bomb Squad was on the scene after an explosion on the front porch of a home in West Philadelphia early Sunday morning, 9/6. It happened around 3:45 a.m. on the 200 block of South 62nd Street. Someone threw an explosive device onto the porch of the home. The front windows of that home and the next door home were shattered. A senior football player at La Salle College High School collapsed and died after practice on Friday afternoon, 9/4, at the all-boys Catholic Wyndmoor, Montgomery County school. 17-year-old Isaiah Turner was a 6-foot-5, 300-pound offensive guard who also played on the basketball team. He has been described as a "gentle giant" who was loved by all at the school. Turner was from the Frankford section of Philadelphia.

| Four people were found dead after a house fire in North Philadelphia on Saturday morning, 9/5. It happened just before 8 a.m. on the 3300 block of Kip Street. Firefighters arrived to find flames shooting out from the first floor and had reports of people trapped inside.
