Philadelphia Police chased a female suspect into New Jersey on Monday night, 3/22, after a shooting and carjacking. It happened around 7 p.m. on the 5600 block of Pentridge Street in Philadelphia's Kingsessing neighborhood. A 28-year-old man was sitting in his car. The female suspect got in the car, struggled with the man, and shot him once in the back. She then stole the car. The man was taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital where he is in critical condition. A Winslow Township Police Officer is being called a hero after he saved an elderly woman from her burning apartment in Sicklerville, NJ, on Saturday night, 3/20. A 32-year-old transgender woman was stabbed and critically injured around midnight Saturday, 3/20, in Germantown. It happened on the 200 block of Montana Street. 45-year-old Robert Easley is charged with attempted rape, aggravated assault, and sexual assault-related offenses. PECO pulled the plug on around 80 street lights in downtown Narberth, Montgomery County, after they noticed the borough had been receiving free electricity for 20 years. PECO discovered a metering and billing issue in October 2020 and then cut the power. The lights are owned and operated by Narberth Borough. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is updating its social distancing guidance for schools. It is now saying that students can sit 3 feet apart while in classrooms, instead of 6 feet as previously recommended. It points to new studies out Friday, 3/19, that found there was little difference in transmission levels between sitting 6 feet apart or 3 feet apart. Gregg Shore made around $129,000 a year as a county prosecutor, but for undisclosed personal reasons he started to work as a DoorDash delivery driver in October 2020. The president of the Proud Boys Philadelphia chapter was arrested at his Port Richmond home on Wednesday morning, 3/17, by federal officials. 35-year-old Zachary Rehl was taken into custody for his role and actions in connection to the riot at the U.S. Capitol on January 6.
